Prof. Liao Weiqiang discovered the first nickel-nitrite ABX3 COIP ferroelectrics

Recently, Prof. Liao Weiqiang and the undergraduates under his supervision from College of Chemistry of NCU, discovered the nickel-nitrite ABX3 COIP ferroelectrics, [(R and S)-N-fluoromethyl-3-quinuclidinol] Ni (NO2)3 ([(R and S)-FMQ] Ni (NO2)3) for the first time. The results of the research entitled “Homochiral Nickel Nitrite ABX3 (X = NO2−) Perovskite Ferroelectrics” has been accepted by Journal of the American Chemical Society,a highly esteemed journal in chemistry field.
