NCU has Reached a New High in the 8th National College Mechanical Innovation Design Competition

     In the national finals of the 8th National College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition held from July 22 to July 25, NCU has won 1 first prize and 3 second prize, which was the best results ever achieved in history (3 awards, 2014; tied for 14th prize around the country.

         The contest, themed with “Focus on People’s Livelihood and Beautiful Homeland”, was launched in March 2017. There were 5,276 works of 703 colleges and universities in 28 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) , and more than 20 thousand teachers and students directly participated in the provincial-level preliminary, which covered up to 100,000 students. After the provincial-level preliminary and finals, a total of 181 works entered the second stage of the national-level final review.

           NCU started the preparations for this competition in April 2017. More than 120 teachers and students participated. In the preliminaries of Jiangxi Province in early May of this year, NCU won 5 provincial first prize, 7 second prize and 2 third prize, among which there were 4 works being recommended to participate in the national finals ( a total of 17 works were recommended Jiangxi Province).  

           The National College Mechanical Innovation Design Competition is one of the four major competitions sponsored by the Ministry of Education. It is one of the most influential competitions among science and engineering students in China, and is also included in the 19 disciplines of "Innovative Talent Cultivation and Discipline Competition Evaluation in Chinese Universities". It sponsored by the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Mechanical Basic Course of the Ministry of Education and the Organizing Committee of the National College Mechanical Innovation Design Competition, which will be held every two years.
