Nanchang University Winning Success in China-EU International Cooperation Project

  From May 21 to May 26, after one-week tense face-to-face practical course training and competition, the team of Nanchang University Training Base KeTLOD (Knowledge Transfer and Leadership in Organ Donation from Europe to China) won a success in the China-EUP international cooperation project, Trainee Song Hui won the first prize for individual achievement and team achievement ranks the 2nd place. Zhang Ning, Chief of Development Planning and Subject Construction Division, serves as Academic Director of the team, Xu Jianjun of No.2 Clinical Medical School acts as Administrative Director, and Zhong Lin and Tu Jianglong act as supervisors.

   There are 140 trainees from national seven famous higher institutions attending the activity, like Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Capital Medical University, Kunming University, Wuhan University, The Second Military Medical University, Nanchang University and Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine.

   After our trainees successfully completed the first session of KeTLOD project with outstanding achievement, Universidad de Barcelona plans to establish an international cooperation platform for experts coordination with us to develop joint school running. The credits obtained by Trainees for the training in China have been recognized by the EU, excellent trainees may further study in Universidad de Barcelona, and will be conferred master’s degree if qualified.

   KeTLOD project is a core project of EU Erasmus program (higher education exchange program), co-organized by Universidad de Barcelona, and there are five universities in the EU and seven universities in China attend the project, aiming at establishing higher education (postgraduate) course program for organ donation oriented towards nation-wide “specialists of medical donation”. As one of cooperative institutions in China, Nanchang University has successfully completed such phases as trainees recruitment, establishment of face-to-face courses, online study, and graduation ceremony of the project, which is highly praised by EU.
