In the morning of December 9, 2017 Academic Annual Conference of Jiangxi Provincial Steel Structure and Space Structure Professional Committee hosted by our University and Jiangxi Provincial Civil Construction Association was held in our Academic Exchange Center. President Zhou Chuangbing, Chief Engineer Zhang Xue’er, member of leading Party Group of Jiangxi Provincial Housing and Urban-rural Construction Department, Xu Qiuhua, president of Jiangxi Provincial Civil Construction Association, and Xiong Jingang, director of Jiangxi Provincial Steel Structure and Space Structure Professional Committee made speeches, over 150 experts inside and outside the province and teachers and students from Zhejiang University, South China University of Technology, National Taiwan University and our university attended this conference.
This conference lasted two days and held nine keynote speeches, participating specialists and scholars developed researches and discussions centering on steel structure relevant standards revisions and key contents explanations, current situation of green building and steel structure development, building technology of building fabricated structure system, industrialization technology of building fabricated structure system, building material and component preparative technique, engineering demonstration of green building fabricated structure system, low-energy building structure system, and restorable high-performance steel structure system.
Steel Structure and Space Structure Professional Committee of Jiangxi Provincial Civil Construction Association is affiliated to our School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, is an academic organization into which experts and entrepreneurs of this domain freely join, and is a communication and service public platform for units and enterprises involving scientific research, design, manufacturing, construction and material of this domain. School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Nanchang University has cultivated amounts of talents for the society for several years, and makes great contributions to local economy and society development. The holding of this conference has a significant meaning on boosting scientific research of steel structure and space structure, and promoting popularity of key technologies of steel structure, and has an active promoting effect on strengthening academic influence of our discipline of civil engineering at home and abroad, and promoting development of civil engineering discipline.
