[Abstract] As the most common fatal cardiovascular disease, Myocardial infarction MIhas seen an increasingly higher incidence and mortality rate. Ubiquitin-like proteins UBLSis a kind of small molecular protein that shares certain homologous sequence or functions with ubiquitin. FAT10, among all UBLS, is the only one that can directly mediate protea some-associated degradation. Present studies show FAT10 has played a vital role in various cell activities including cycle, apoptosis and tumorigenesis. Our team is the first to report FAT10’s expression in heart tissue. The action of FAT10 against cardiovascular diseases, however, is rarely reported. This report puts its focus on the study on the mechanism of action of FAT10 during the whole pathological process of MI.
