Liu Chengmei


Liu Chengmei, male, was born in 1963 in Nankang, Jiangxi Province. He is a Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor. He is the leader of the State Key Discipline of Food Science, an expert who enjoys the special allowance of the State Council, and a choice for the National Talents with the New Century Ten Million Talents Project. He is also an expert among young and middle-aged with outstanding contributions, the National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker, a member of the Teaching and Guidance Committee of Higher Education School of the Ministry of Education for Food Sciences and Engineering, and the Director of the Special Committee for the Construction of Curriculum Materials. Meanwhile, he was the Major Academic and Technological Leader in Jiangxi Province, and the choice for the First Program of Young Scientists in Jiangxi Province and the first Jiangxi Province Talent 555 Project in Ganzhou City and Poyang County. He is the vice chairman of the National Strategic Alliance for Innovation of Nutrition Big Data in Agricultural Products Processing, Senior Expert of the Food Branch of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association, Chairman of the Strategic Alliance of Industry-Education Integration in the Green Food Industry of Jiangxi Province, and Vice Chairman of the Jiangxi Institute of Food Science and Technology. He is a member of the editorial board of Food Science and Food Industry Science and Technology, and a member of the academic committee of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of Food Nutrition and Safety jointly established by the provincial ministry.

His research fields are food science and engineering, and his main research interests are food processing, new food processing technology, functional food. He has presided over 30 national and provincial projects, including the 863 Program, National Science and Technology Support Program, and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 300 academic papers, including more than 160 SCI-indexed papers, on core journals at domestic and abroad such as Trends in Food Science & Technology and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. He has published 3 textbooks, and authorized more than 40 national invention patents. He has received 15 national and provincial awards, including 2 of Second Prizes of National Teaching Achievement Award, the First Prize of Natural Science of Jiangxi Province, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Jiangxi Province, and the First Prize of Chinese Agricultural Science and Technology Award.
