The Scientific and Technological Innovation Consortium for Ultra-High Temperature New Metallic Materials of Jiangxi Province was Inaugurated

(International Material Innovation Institute) The Scientific and Technological Innovation Consortium for Ultra-High Temperature New Metallic Materials of Jiangxi Province and the Scientific and Technological Innovation Consortium for Rare Earth of Jiangxi Province were inaugurated in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province on August 27, 2022. The inauguration meeting was attended by Ren Zhufeng ( member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Provincial Committee and the Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province), Du Youwei and Shen Baogen (academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Xiong Keping ( Deputy Secretary General of the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province), You Ying (Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Jiangxi Province, Qi Tao (Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of Ganjiang Innovation Academy, Chinese Academy of Sciences) ,Yu Xiaoshe (Secretary of Party Committees of Nanchang University) and other leaders from the institutions directly under the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and the leaders from Ganzhou Municipality.

Scientific and Technological Innovation Consortium for Ultra-High Temperature New Metallic Materials of Jiangxi Province was initiated by Nanchang University and was made up of 22 companies and scientific research institutes from and beyond Jiangxi province. The Consortium will focus on the upstream of the industrial chain (mining and mineral processing+ smelting), midstream (material and finishes) and downstream (the application of ultra-high temperature metals), so as to push the applied and basic research of ultra-high temperature new metallic materials to a deeper level and strive for breakthroughs of key technologies.
