Self-reliance and Self-improvement of Science and Technology Promotes the Development of High-quality Green Food Industry in Jiangxi

In the afternoon of May 2, sponsored by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Nanchang University, the Summit Forum on Scientific and Technological Self-reliance and Self-improvement Boosting Industrial Development in Jiangxi- 2021 Summit of Industry-Education Integration Strategic Alliance of Jiangxi Green Food Industry was held in Nanchang.

Yin Yulong and Liu Zhonghua, academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Huadong, Vice Chairman of the provincial CPPCC, Zhu Weifeng, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine, Liu Shuwen, Vice President of Southern Medical University, Tu Zongcai, Vice President of Jiangxi Normal University, Li Deping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Nanchang University, and Hu Zhongming, Chief Agronomist of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, attended the forum. The forum was hosted by Liu Chengmei, Vice President of Nanchang University.

In his speech, Li Huadong expressed that not only does Jiangxi have the unique geographical and transportation advantages in terms of agricultural development, but also it has listed its green food industry an important pillar industry in the "14th Five-Year Plan" by the provincial government and provincial CPC committee. Meanwhile, the food disciplines of Nanchang University enjoy a very high reputation in the country, thus providing solid scientific and technological support for the development of green food industry in Jiangxi.

He hoped that the enterprises will seize the opportunity to do a good job in the integration of industry and education and improve the core competitiveness of Jiangxi's food industry. The government departments should also create a good environment for the integration of industry and education to promote the high-quality development of the province's green food industry. It is hoped that through this forum, the government, enterprises and universities will form a synergy to contribute wisdom and strength to the development of green food industry in Jiangxi.

Hu Zhongming expected that the success of this forum will be taken as an opportunity for people to focus on the green food industry chain, pool innovation and consensus, and promote innovation development to form scientific and technological synergy. He also hoped that the academicians and Nanchang University and other provincial research institutions to conduct solid work in the green food industry chain, deepen the integration of industry and education, strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, and provide strong intellectual and scientific support for the development of green food in Jiangxi province.

At the forum, the International Food Innovation Research Institute of our university signed cooperation agreements with Jiangxi Huangshanghuang Group Food Co Ltd, Jiangxi Xidi Biotechnology Co Ltd, Jiangxi Deshang Technology Group Co Ltd and Jinggangshan Jiyuan Agricultural Ecological Development Co Ltd. "Nanchang University-Huangshanghuang Food Research Institute" "Nanchang University-Jiangxi Xidi Institute of Health Industry Innovation" "Deshang Institute of Innovation in Medicine and Food at Nanchang University " "Nanchang University - Jiyuan Jinggangshan Specialty Food Innovation Research Institute" and other scientific research institutions were inaugurated.
