NCU Students Won the First and Second Place in the Annual Tennis Tournament of the Highest Level in China

  • On July 18, the 2021 Chinese Tennis Association Tour CTA1000 (Changsha) came to an end. Wu Hao, a postgraduate student majoring in Sports Humanistic Sociology of Grade 2018 of NCU won first place in the men’s doubles with his partner, Xiao Lin’ang from Jiangxi Team. Zheng Wushuang, a student majoring in Sports Training of Grade 2017 from the School of Physical Education of NCU won second place in women’s doubles with her partner, Feng Shuo from Beijing Team.

Chinese Tennis Association Tour is the highest-level tennis tournament in China, which is independent of the three major tours of ATP, WTA and ITF. It is an important attempt to implement the strategic cooperation agreement between CCTV and the General Administration of Sport of China and to jointly build a sustainable Chinese independent, self-owned and self-run tournament system, and it is the third national sports event launched under the circumstance of regular prevention and control of COVID-19.
