Introduction of Academician Fan Daiming:

He is Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Major General and authority expert in digestive epidemiology. He is Vice President of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Foreign Academician of Institute of Medicine, President of Xijing Digestive Disease Hospital of The Fourth Military Medical University, Director of National Key Laboratory of Cancer Biology, Director of Clinical Drug Trial Institution, Vice President of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Vice Chairman of Asia-Pacific Digestive Society and distinguished professor of Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of National Education. He was President of The Fourth Military Medical University, Chairman of Committee of Chinese Digestive Society and Chairman of World Congress on Digestive Diseases in 2013. He was employed as Honorary President of The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University in Mar. 2015.
He is engaged in the clinical and basic research of digestive diseases and devotes to the research of macro strategy of medical development. He has undertaken the national 973 chief scientist projects, 863 projects, creation of major new drugs and natural science fund projects successively. He has won one first, second and third prize of national scientific and technological progress respectively, one third prize of national technology invention and two first prizes in military science and technology progress. He has won the Severya Prize at French National Institute of Medicine, Science & Technology Progress Award of He-Liang-He-Li and Science and Technology Highest Achievement Award in Shanxi Province. He is editor in chief of 21 academic works; holds the post of Chief Editor of basic medical intensive reading series and the frontier of tumor research as well as digital textbook of national higher medicine education. He holds the post of Editorial Board, Deputy Editor and Editor of ten international journals including Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Gut. He has published 546 SCI papers on foreign journals including Lancet, Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Nature Clinical Practice Oncology and Gut which has been cited more than 10,000 times.
