2021 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application Opens in Nanchang

On June 10, International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application opened in Nanchang.

Liu Qi, Secretary of CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Treshchalin Mikhail, Academician of the International Academy of Science and Higher Education, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia, Prof. Dmitrii G. Krasilnikov, rector of Perm State University, Russia, Gasanov Magomediemin, vice rector of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Ukraine, Mykola Nechyporuk, vice-rector of The National Aerospace University Kharkiv Aviation Institute, Ukraine, delivered speeches by video. Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee Ye Jianchun presided over the conference, and provincial leaders Wu Hao and Sun Jusheng attended the conference.

On behalf of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee and the provincial government, Liu Qi congratulated the convening of the conference, welcomed the guests attending the conference, and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and friends at home and abroad for their support to Jiangxi’s economic and social development. He said that the global anti-pandemic practice taught us an “absolute principle”: deepening international scientific and technological cooperation is a vital measure to deal with the global challenges facing mankind. With the in-depth advancement of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, international scientific and technological cooperation and collaborative innovation have become the general trend, and the promotion of the cooperation and integration of industry, education, research, and application has become the key to innovation and development. With “Industry, Education, Research, and Application, innovation and development”, as the theme of the conference, all parties actively explore a new model of international cooperation and integration of industry, education, research and application in the post-pandemic era, which will definitely boost international scientific and technological innovation and accelerate the construction of a new pattern of a high-level open and win-win cooperation.

Liu Qi said that we look forward to working with friends at home and abroad to continue to expand the depth and breadth of industry-university-research cooperation, jointly optimize major innovation platforms, work together to strengthen innovation support, jointly build the first-class innovation team, and consolidate the talent foundation, work together to achieve scientific and technological collaborative research, to break technological bottlenecks, to transfer and transform achievements, to promote transformation and upgrading, and contribute greater wisdom and strength to promote innovation and development. It is sincerely hoped that Chinese and foreign universities, and scientific research institutions will strengthen cooperation and integration of industry, education, research, and application with Jiangxi, continue to expand new cooperation spaces, create new realms of development, and promote scientific and technological innovation to benefit more people. We firmly believe that as long as we unite and cooperate, the achievements of cooperation and integration of industry, education, research, and application will become more and more fruitful, and the “cake” of shared win-win cooperation will become bigger and taste sweeter.

Chen Baosheng, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, congratulated the convening of the conference and greeted the attending Chinese and foreign guests. He said that last year, we issued a document on accelerating and expanding the opening up of education in the new era, demonstrating China’s unswerving determination and confidence in persisting in the opening-up of education to the outside world. China will work hard to create a new highland of education opening up, deepen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, introduce high-quality foreign educational resources, encourage the flow of students worldwide, and promote the reform of the global education governance system. The International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application is a new chapter of open cooperation initiated by the education field and jointly written by universities, enterprises, and research institutes across the world.

Chen Baosheng said that in the past three years since the International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application was first established, all participants have insisted on extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits. The cooperation platform has become wider and wider, the cooperation model more and more diverse, and the cooperation achievements more and more fruitful, creating a beautiful scene of international cooperation. At present, the changes unseen in the century and the pandemic of the century are intertwined and superimposed while the global industrial chain and supply chain are facing remodeling. It is time to advance the organic connection of education chain, talent chain, innovation chain, and industrial chain, and to ride on the momentum to deepen the cooperation and integration of industry, education, research, and application. It is hoped that all parties participating in the conference will strengthen joint contribution and shared benefits, promote high-quality development of cooperation, strengthen complementary advantages, achieve a more open and more efficient cooperation and win-win situation, strengthen the innovation orientation, build an innovation consortium of industry, education, research, and application. At the conference, Nanchang University, Nanchang Hangkong University, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology and related enterprises held the opening ceremony of innovation platform and signing ceremony of industry-education-research-application projects with scientific research institutions of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, South Korea and other countries. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Jin, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education. Deng Xiaohua and Liu Chengmei, vice presidents of our university, participated in the opening and signing ceremony.

During the report session of the conference, Li Hejun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Jiang Fengyi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of our university, He Guowei, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and researcher of the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , and Guo Zhaohui, a professor-level senior engineer at the Central Iron and Steel Research Institute did presentations on the conference. Yu Xiaoshe, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, Luo Shenglian, President of Nanchang Hangkong University, and Wen Herui, President of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology presided over the conference.

The purpose of the forum is to fully implement the national strategic layout of Belt and Road Initiative and Innovation-driven Development Strategy, focus on new development concepts, jointly build academic exchange and scientific and technological cooperation platforms for new materials, aerospace and rare earth, and promote exchange and cooperation among universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions.
