NCU Students Achieved Good Results in All Tracks of China College Students’ Medical Skills Competition East China Division

Recently, NCU students achieved the highest group prizes in all tracks of the 10th China College Students Medical Skills Competition (East China Division) and entered the national finals. Students from the Second Clinical Medical School, School of Public Health and School of Nursing won the grand prize in the track for the major of clinical medicine with a five-year program, the first prize (the highest prize) in the track for the major of preventive medicine and the grand prize in the track for the major of nursing respectively. Among them, the entrants of the track for the major of clinical medicine with a five-year program, Li Shizhen and Li Song, won the individual prize for taking on and off protective suit and changing dressings and the prize for thoracocentesis, and Guo Xiaojing in the track for the major of nursing won the individual prize for nasal feeding.

Institutions of higher learning from Anhui Province, Fujian Province, Jiangxi Province, Shandong Province, Shanghai City and Zhejiang City entered the 10th China College Students Medical Skills Competition (East China Division). 184 entrants from 46 institutions entered the track for the major of clinical medicine with a five-year program; 540 entrants from 27 institutions entered the track for the major of preventive medicine; 248 entrants from 62 institutions entered the track for the major of nursing.

China College Students Medical Skills Competition was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education, relevant ministries and commissions, and provincial and municipal governments. This year, in accordance with the purpose of New Achievement, New Dimension, New Standard, New Contribution, New Development, the track for the major of preventive medicine and the track for the major of nursing were set up for the first time.
