Nearly 200 Government-sponsored People Attending Before-traveling Training in NCU

China Scholarship Council (CSC for short) held before-traveling training video conference in Ministry of Education on the afternoon of June 5. Our University is one of the parallel session of CSC live video. There were nearly 200 government-sponsored people from higher institutions like Nanchang University, Jiangxi Agricultural University, Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal Unviersity, Jiangxi University of Technology, Jiangxi University of TCM and Nanchang Hangkong University attending the training conference, and the level of attendees varies from undergraduates, postgraduates, visiting scholars, and etc.

The training conference offered special report, including relevant information about 2018 government-sponsored overseas education, how to engage in the study on natural sciences and humanities and social sciences and improve study level, overseas safety and consular protection for overseas personnel, keeping mental health abroad and how to deal with the relationship with supervisors, personal safety protection, emergency calling and escaping, overseas safety and consular protection, etc. At the meeting, experts answered some common questions put forward by the overseas students.

There are 131 teachers and students in our University designated to be government-sponsored overseas people this year, including 25 people for government-sponsored postgraduate project for the country building high-level university (7 for doctor’s degree, 18 for jointly-cultivated doctoral students), 3 people for government-sponsored postgraduate project (jointly-cultivated master students), 1 person for talent special cultivation project of art category, 37 people for excellent undergraduate international exchange project, 4 people for Sino-Russian governments exchange scholarship, 3 people for Sino-Hungary governments exchange scholarship, 1 person for Sino-Mexico governments exchange scholarship, and 57 senior visiting scholars, visiting scholars and people pursuing postdoctoral degree.
