Consul-General of Singapore in Xiamen Visits NCU

On December 21st, Mr. Zhuang Zhijia, Consul-General of Singapore in Xiamen, visited Nanchang University and Nie Shaoping, Vice President of NCU, met with the visiting guest.

Nie Shaoping warmly welcomed Zhuang Zhijia's visit and introduced the development, disciplinary characteristics and achievements in international education of NCU. He emphasized that NCU has always attached great importance to cooperation and exchanges with universities in Singapore. Singapore has abundant educational resources and is one of the key countries for international educational exchange and collaboration. NCU has already made a good start in terms of student joint training and academic research cooperation with universities in Singapore, and hopes to further expand and deepen cooperation and exchanges with Singaporean universities in broader fields.

Zhuang Zhijia introduced the six major public universities in Singapore and expressed his welcome and appreciation for the cooperation and exchange between NCU and Singaporean universities. He emphasized that the important purpose of this trip is to encourage and promote more Singaporean universities to join in comprehensive and multi-disciplinary cooperation with Chinese universities. The Consulate General of Singapore in Xiamen is willing to seek more cooperation opportunities and provide more cooperation platforms for NCU in Singapore and look forward to deeper collaboration between both sides in talent cultivation, scientific research, cultural exchange, etc.

The officials from the International Exchange Office, Teaching Affairs Office and other related offices also attended the meeting.
