A Delegation from Novosibirsk State University Visits Nanchang University

(Cross-Border Education Center) On the morning of June 6th, Deng Xiaohua, Vice President of Nanchang University (NCU), met a delegation from Russia led by Yevgeny Sagaydak, Vice Rector of Novosibirsk State University (NSU), and both parties had in-depth discussions on the cooperation of training.

On the morning of June 6th, Yevgeny Sagaydak, Vice Rector of Novosibirsk State University (NSU) in Russia, and his delegation visited Nanchang University (NCU). Deng Xiaohua, Vice President of NCU, met with the guests, and both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on matters related to cooperation in running schools.

During the meeting, both sides had detailed discussions on specific issues related to collaborative education, including the levels of education, specialties, enrollment scale, educational objectives, distinctive features of education, training models, and degree granting. It was unanimously agreed that the two universities will fully leverage their disciplinary strengths and rely on collaborative education to deepen cooperation at different levels, such as scholars, disciplines, and students. This collaboration aims to benefit faculty and students from both universities, achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes, and contribute to promoting educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Russia.

NSU, located in Novosibirsk, the third largest city in the Russian Federation, was established in 1959 by the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is the only university in the country that closely cooperates with the Academy of Sciences; it is a world-renowned public research university; it is an exemplar of the integration of teaching and research, known as the "Silicon Valley of Russia"; it is among the first batch of universities selected for the National Research University and the Project 5-100 in Russia. The university has considerable strengths in fundamental disciplines such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology, as well as in engineering and technical disciplines such as computer science and engineering, and petroleum engineering.

Heads of relevant departments at NCU, including the Academic Affairs Office, Enrollment and Employment Office, International Affairs Office, and International Education College, attended the meeting.
