NCU Delegation Led by Deng Xiaohua Pays a Working Visit to the University of Poitiers

(From Office of International Affairs) Recently, Deng Xiaohua, Vice President of Nanchang University, led a delegation to pay a working visit to the University of Poitiers in France at the invitation.

From June 19 to 20, the delegation visited the main campus of the University of Poitiers, during which they met with Professor Virginie LAVAL, President of the University of Poitiers, as well as two vice presidents, namely Professor Noelle DUPORT in charge of Teaching and Professor Yves GERVAIS in charge of scientific research. Both sides discussed the continued cooperation between the two universities and jointly attended the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement. Additionally, the delegation also conducted extensive exchanges with representatives from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (IAE) de Poitiers, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Poitiers (ENSI Poitiers), Centre de Français Langue Etrangère (CFLE) and Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) de Poitiers.

On the morning of June 21, the delegation held a working meeting with the University of Poitiers, a partner of the Confucius Institute, and the Vienna Provincial Parliament on the reconstructing of the Confucius Institute. Pascal ROBLOT, Vice President of the University of Poitiers, and Henri COLIN, Deputy Speaker of the Vienna Provincial Parliament, welcomed the delegation warmly. Both French partners expressed their willingness to actively participate in the construction of the Confucius Institute. Afterwards, the delegation also visited the new site of the Confucius Institute in Poitiers and met with staffs of the Confucius Institute.

Responsible persons from the School of Economics & Management and the Cross-border Education Center of NCU accompanied the visit.
