On March 3, Li Yuqiang, Deputy Director of Office of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province, and Yu Xiaoshe, Party Secretary of Nanchang University (NCU), met a delegation led by Jean-Yves Roux, Consul General of France in Wuhan, in a meeting hosted by Deng Xiaohua, Vice-president of NCU.
Yu Xiaoshe sincerely welcomed the visit of Consul General Jean-Yves Roux, and briefly introduced the development of NCU in recent years, especially its achievements in internalization. “NCU always attaches great importance to the cooperation and exchanges with universities in France. The Consul General of France in Wuhan has visited NCU many times since 1998, carrying forward the friendship between the two sides,” Yu said: “I look forward to expanding our cooperation and exchanges with universities in France in wider fields and at a higher level in the future.”
Consul General Jean-Yves Roux appreciated NCU for its cooperation and exchanges with France. “NCU has a solid foundation for international cooperation and exchanges and is equipped with conditions for all-round and multi-field cooperation,” said the Consul General of France in Wuhan. He is willing to find more cooperation opportunities and provide more cooperation platforms in France for NCU to promote in-depth cooperation in science and technology innovation, talent training and cultural exchanges between the two sides, thus contributing to the development of exchanges between China and France.
Leaders of relevant units of NCU including the Party and Administration Office, Office of International Affairs, International Education College, Sino-French Center, French Alumni Association of Nanchang University, School of Foreign Studies, and School of Economics and Management also attended the meeting.
