Recently, the Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF) released the results of the 2025 Outstanding Communication Confucius Institutes selection. Out of more than 500 Confucius Institutes (CIs) across the globe, 42 have been honored. Nanchang University (NCU) is proud to announce that two of its Confucius Institutes in Indonesia are on the award list: 1. Confucius Institute at Hasanuddin University, 2.Tourism Confucius Institute at Udayana University in Indonesia.

Outstanding Communication Confucius Institutes
The title of Outstanding Communication Confucius Institute is a top honor in international Chinese language education and communication. The evaluation is conducted comprehensively against key indicators, including contribution quality, platform acceptance rate, institutional branding, and communication effectiveness. This marks the third win for the Confucius Institute at Hasanuddin University and the second win for the Tourism Confucius Institute at Udayana University. The dual awards fully attest to the solid performance and outstanding achievements of NCU’s overseas Confucius Institutes in media publicity, global promotion, and brand building.
In 2025, NCU’s overseas Confucius Institutes have stayed grounded in local contexts, committed to international Chinese language education and cross‑cultural exchange and mutual learning, and delivered remarkable results in communication and outreach. The Confucius Institute at Hasanuddin University centered on high-level Chinese talent cultivation and China-Indonesia cultural exchanges. It strengthened the operation of its WeChat official account and overseas social media platforms, creating a wealth of high-quality and well-received media content. The Tourism Confucius Institute at Udayana University upheld its distinctive “Chinese + Tourism” positioning, focusing on international tourism talent training and China-Indonesia cultural and tourism industry cooperation. It enhanced collaboration with local media and produced a series of professional, influential publicity materials with strong communication impact.
