Intelligent Bioanalytical Chemistry for Life and Health
Lecturer: Li Jinghong
Professor Li Jinghong is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a member of the 12th, 13th, and 14th National Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Director of the Academic Committee of the Department of Chemistry and the Analysis Center at Tsinghua University, President of the Association of University Analytical and Testing Centers, and Secretary-General of the Nanoscience and Engineering Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
Academician Li has long been dedicated to teaching and research in the fields of analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, chemical biology, single-cell analytical chemistry, and electrochemical environment and energy, achieving fruitful results. He proposed a novel three-electrode electrochemical measurement method using ionic liquids, accurately measured and discovered the ultra-low quantum capacitance of graphene, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for graphene electroanalytical chemistry. He also proposed “single-entity” electroanalytical chemistry based on transient capture, and established single-molecule electroanalytical chemistry methods and single-cell electrochemical imaging techniques, offering an ultra-sensitive approach for the detection of heterogeneous single entities in complex samples.
Academician Li’s academic achievements are outstanding. He has published more than 500 SCI papers in journals including Science, Nat. Mater., Nat. Nanotechnol., Nat. Biomed. Eng., and Nat. Protoc. His papers have been cited more than 73,000 times, with an H-index of 135. From 2015 to 2024, he has been consecutively listed as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher. He has received the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award, the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, the First Prize of the Beijing Natural Science Award, and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis, among others. He serves as the associate editor and editorial board member for more than 20 international journals, including Chem. Soc. Rev.
