Chen Shifa, male, born in August 1970 in Ningdu, Jiangxi Province, is a Ph.D., Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He mainly engages in research on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Marxist theory. Recognized as a national-level talent, he enjoys special governmentallowances of the State Council. He is on the list of “Talents for Four Batches of Projects” of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. In projects under the Ministry of Education, Chen, as a member of the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Guidance Committee, leads the Huang Danian-style Teacher Team among Chinese Universities and Famous Teachers for Ideological and Political Education. He is one of the Influential People of the Year for Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory in Chinese Universities, and is a recipient of the New Century Excellent Talents Support Project, and the First FundingforExcellent Young and Middle-Aged Ideological and Political Teachers. He is also selected in Ganpo Talent 555 Project and the New Century Ten Million Talents Project in Jiangxi Province.

Chen hosted and completed 3 projects of National Social Science Fund, including 1 major bidding project, 1 Selective Funding Project and 1 Key Project of the Ministry of Education. He has published over a hundred papers in significant academic journals such asPeople's Daily,Guangming Daily,Qiushi,Studies on the History of the Communist Party of China, andMarxism & Reality. He has received more than 10 provincial-level research and teaching awards.
