1. Basic Requirements

Candidates should adhere to the correct political direction, uphold the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, implement the Party’s lines, principles, and policies, be loyal to and love the Party’s educational cause, practice core socialist values, and abide by professional ethics, laws, regulations, and relevant university rules.

2. Types of Talents

(1) Outstanding Talents

Requirements for candidates: unlimited number; with strong academic leadership, pioneering work achievements recognized by peers at home and abroad, and prominent academic contributions in the research field; experienced in organizing and planning important scientific research plans and projects; with an outstanding overall planning ability in the research on major strategic economic and social development issues; with strategic scientists’ planning ability in terms of discipline construction and scientific research; able to lead relevant discipline groups to reach or surpass the domestic leading level and international advanced level.

(2) Discipline Leading Talents

Requirements for candidates: unlimited number; with a strong team organization ability; have made influential work achievements that are domestically leading or have reached the world advanced level or have made good academic achievements in the discipline; with active academic thinking and the ability to become a discipline leader in relevant fields; with creative ideas for discipline development and able to lead the discipline to keep ahead of domestic peers and reach a domestic leading level and international advanced level.

(3) Academic Leaders

Requirements for candidates: unlimited number; with a strong team organization ability; have made important representative achievements in the direction of the discipline (specialty); with good academic competitiveness and great development potential; able to do a good job in discipline-oriented development planning; with innovative ideas for discipline construction and academic research work.

(4) Excellent Discipline Talents

Requirements for candidates: unlimited number; with a strong academic ability; have made influential representative achievements in the discipline; with development potential and innovative ideas for discipline construction; have the potential to support the discipline to maintain or reach the domestic advanced level. In general, candidates should have postdoctoral experience (2 years or more) in well-known universities or research institutes at home and abroad, experience in hosting national-level scientific research projects, and potential to be national-level young talents. They will be pre-appointed for an employment term of 6 years, and a renewal contract will be signed upon completion of term goals.

4. Salary and Benefits

5. Recruitment Procedures

The recruitment process is organized and implemented according to the procedures of application, assessment, physical examination, investigation, public notice, and employment. This recruitment plan will be implemented throughout 2025 and will continue until all positions are filled. Starting at least 10 working days after the announcement is posted, the employing units will organize assessments irregularly based on the application status. The assessment is not subject to a minimum applicant-to-position ratio.

2. How to apply: Interested candidates should send their resumes to the employer’s and the Personnel Division’s email addresses.

3. Notes: Candidates should create a compressed file (not exceeding 5MB) containing their detailed personal resume, the Nanchang University Recommendation Form for Full-time High-level Talents (2025 New Version) (see attachment), relevant performance materials, and three recommendation letters. Submission requirements: The email subject and attachment file name must be formatted as: “Graduating Institution + Name + Degree + Major + Intended School and Specific Position” (e.g., XX University + Wang XX Postdoc + Chinese Language and Literature + Applying for School of Humanities Excellent Discipline Talent). Candidates must fill in and submit relevant materials truthfully. The candidate is responsible for any consequences arising from providing false information.

(2) Assessment

Each employing unit will conduct one or more forms of assessment as needed and send representative achievements for external peer review. Based on the external review results, a selection of outstanding candidates will be submitted to the university for approval. The time and location of the assessment will be notified separately by the employing unit.

(3) Physical Examination

1. Based on the assessment results, candidates for the physical examination will be selected at a 1:1 ratio for the number of positions.

2. The examination will be conducted at a location designated by our university, following the standards of the Jiangxi Province Teacher Qualification Application Physical Examination Measures (Revised) (Gan Jiao Gui Zi [2021] No. 3) and relevant university regulations. Candidates should be in good physical and mental health.

(4) Investigation

An investigation will be conducted on those who pass the physical examination to comprehensively understand their political quality, moral character, work ability, discipline, law-abidingness, integrity, self-discipline, academic and work performance, and physical/mental health.

(5) Public Notice

After passing the assessment and physical examination, and upon approval by the university, the employing unit will publicly display the basic information and position of the intended candidates internally for five days.

(6) Employment

1. After the public notice period concludes with no objections, the relevant onboarding procedures will be processed. A probationary period will be implemented in accordance with relevant state regulations. Those who fail the probationary period assessment will be dismissed according to relevant regulations.

2. Newly recruited personnel through this public recruitment will receive the benefits of public institution staff, be uniformly included in the preparation filing system management, and their remuneration will be handled according to relevant regulations.

6. Others

1. Any relevant adjustments will be announced to the public by the university on its website.

2. If the documents and policies on which this announcement is based are changed, the new, effective documents and policies shall prevail. The Personnel Division of Nanchang University reserves the right for the final interpretation of this announcement.
