NCU Winning Grand Prize in National College Students Competition for Health Education Works

he 1st National College Students Competition for Health Education Works hosted by Professional Teaching Advisory Board of Public Health and Preventive Medicine under Ministry of Education ended successfully on April 21. The works selected by School of Public Health of NCU won a grand prize and a second prize.

After strict evaluation, the work The Unsetting Sun made by Jia Qiyue and other students under the guidance of Professor Fan Guangqin won the grand prize. The work adopted preventing the falling of the old as theme, and introduced the intervention strategy and measure for the old falling down. The work Do Not Take Staying UP as a Habit made by Liao Xiao and other students under the guidance of Professor Zhou Xiaojun won the second prize. The work started from the bad habit of young people staying up, compared the harm of staying up with the good living habits, and guides the young people to form healthy sleep cycle.

The Competition aims at fully promoting the public health education teaching reform, improving students’ health education and health promotion ability, and is of great significance for better serving the construction of “healthyChina” and boosts the public to form healthy concepts. There were a lot of schools of public health (majors) of such higher institutions inChinaattending the competition asSun Yat-Sen University,SichuanUniversity,ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversity,CentralSouthUniversity,CapitalMedicalUniversity, and etc., and more than 100 works were submitted.
