One of Jiangxi 2018 “talents gathering in Jiangxi·wisdom converging in Ganpo” series activities, Nanchang University’s 2018 First International Forum of Young Scholars was opened in Qianhu Hotel on May 16. There were 37 young elites from world top-class higher institutions and scientific research institutions like Oxford University, Stanford University, Nanyang Technological University and University of Chicago gathering to discuss subject development and undertaking blueprint. There were more than 200 people attending the forum.
· On the opening ceremony, Xu Zhong—Deputy Head of Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Leader of Talent Work Leading Group of Provincial Party Committee, Zhang Shuanggu—Executive Vice President of Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, and Yu Xiaoshe—Secretary of Party Committee of NCU delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by President Zhou Chuangbing, and Vice Presidents Xin Hongbo and Zhu Xiaoli were present.
The First International Forum of Young Scholars is one of the measures of Nanchang University for seizing the opportunity of joint construction of ministry and province and accelerating the strategy of strengthening the university by talents. This Forum lasted for three days, and it established exchange and cooperation platform for excellent young scholars at home and abroad, facilitated high-level talents to start businesses in Jiangxi, boosted the construction of subjects and talents group and realized win-win situation of “famous university, successful scholars and talented students” by virtue of academic report, subject docking and visit and investigation activities.
