On May 25, sponsored by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Ministry of Education, undertaken by Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of Ministry of Education, co-sponsored by Nanchang University, the 2019 Pre-departure Training Session on “Safe Overseas Studying” was held in our university. The training objects of this training are all kinds of student who will study abroad, including about 300 students who are sponsored by government, company or themselves.
Professor Han Buxin from the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Wang Wei, Chief Physician of the Second Affiliated Hospital of our university, Xie Tian from Consul and Security Section of Office of Foreign Affairs of Jiangxi Province, Senior Practical Operation Instructor Dou Yang and Dai Shu’e made lectures entitled stress and emotion management for students studying abroad, healthy overseas studying, overseas consular protection and assistance, and overseas personal safety and emergency response respectively.
The training is a one-day training aimed at continuously elevating and improving the management and service level of overseas students, promoting the steady development of the pre-departure training for studying abroad, earnestly safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas students studying abroad, allowing overseas students to adapt to foreign study as soon as possible, and making contributions to “Safe Overseas Studying” with the experience offered by professionals and returnees.
It is learned that the Pre-departure Training Session on “Safe Overseas Studying” of the Ministry of Education was successfully held for 10 years, from May 2019 to December 2019, a total of 150 on-site training lessons of 75 sessions will be held all over the country, and the session in our university is the fifth session.
