Australian Academician Scott Sloan Employed as Our Honorary Professor

Our website (International Exchange Department) reports that in the afternoon of October 16, Academician Scott Sloan, Australia expert in geotechnical engineering and science, professor of the University of Newcastle, Australia was employed as our honorary professor, and the employment ceremony was held at 4th meeting room of office building. President Zhou Chuangbing granted Honorary Professor Employment Certificate of our university to Academician Scott Sloan, and vice president Li Baoming presided the ceremony.

     Li Baoming introduced Academician Scott Sloans academic achievements. Zhou Chuangbing expressed his wish that through employment of Academician Scott Sloan as our Honorary Professor, we would be further to strengthen both universities cooperation, improve both universitiesacademic level. Academician Scott Sloan expressed that both universities cooperation in geotechnical engineering would be strengthened in the future, his all-out efforts to promote both universities communication in university building, talents cultivation and academic research.

     Academician Scott Sloan is a professor of the University of Newcastle, Australia, director of Australia Research Commission Geotechnical Engineering and Science Outstanding Research Center, academician of (Britain) Royal Society, double academician of Australian Academy of Science and Technical Science and Engineering Academy.

Vice president Zhu Xiaoli and responsible persons of International Exchange Department, High-level Talents Construction Office, Building Engineering Institute attended this ceremony.
