On October 11th, the 21st Conference on International Exchange of Professionals - Parallel Session in Jiangxi and “Pooling Global Professionals for a Better Jiangxi” Occasion opened in Nanchang.
At the opening ceremony, Qin Tao, Deputy Director of the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, delivered the address of Zhang Yudong, Vice Minister of Science and Technology. Chen Weirong, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province and Director of the Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs of Jiangxi Province, Wu Dan, Vice President of Nanchang University (NCU), and Chen Huili, General Manager of China and East Asia Region of the Royal Society of Chemistry, attended the conference and delivered speeches on behalf of the organizers and supporting units.
The conference, co-hosted by the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province, and NCU, was organized by the Institute for Advanced Study of NCU, and Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel, and was supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry. This parallel session held two academic forums: “International Sustainable Development and Innovation Forum” and “International Young Talents Forum: Sustainable Development and Innovation”, and focused on academic topics in the fields of green chemistry, carbon neutrality and environmentally sustainable technology, as well as talent training and scientific and technological exchanges from an international perspective.
In the two-day forum, more than 10 internationally renowned experts and young sci-tech talents including Professor Troels Skrydstrup, academician of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, academician of the Danish Academy of Natural Sciences and academician of the Danish Academy of Engineering, Professor Pierre Dixneuf, academician of the Institut Universitaire de France and academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Professor Gerard van Kotex, academician of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, Long Jinlin, associate director of the State Key Laboratory of Photocatalysis on Energy and Environment of Fuzhou University, Shi Zhuangzhi, professor of the State Key Laboratory of Coordination Chemistry of Nanjing University, Yu Dagang, professor of Sichuan University, presented cutting-edge academic knowledge, exchanged scientific research ideas, and shared experiences in international talent exchange and cultivation in a combination of online and offline methods. Teachers and graduate students in related disciplines from NCU and other universities in Jiangxi province, staff from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, as well as the sci-tech personnel from related enterprises, attended this forum.
The Conference on International Exchange of Professionals is a national and international exhibition event co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, with the main purpose of serving the international talent exchange and international scientific and technological innovation cooperation. This parallel session aimed to build an academic exchange platform for Chinese and foreign scientists, especially young scientific and technological talents, fostering the sustainable development of related disciplines.
