Recently, the Ministry of Education has initiated the program of building the international online teaching platforms for Chinese universities with English as the teaching language. Two online teaching platforms, Icourse and XuetangX, are the first batch of platforms that been put into use. The English-taught course “Traditional Customs and Chinese Arts ” of NCU is the only course in Jiangxi province that has been enrolled on both the above two platforms.
The course is led by Prof. Qiu Jing of the School of Arts and Design, and the teaching team is an inter-discipline one with members including Shu Yu’an, Chen Linghua, Peng Diyun, Nie Jing, Zhang Qianshan and also other teachers from different schools of NCU. This achievement is an outcome of the continuous course construction and reform and it also marks a new breakthrough on the university’s construction of online courses, the influence of which has been further enhanced.
