(International Affairs Department) On November 30, three persons that are Department Head Andrea Bieck, Department Vice Head Nina Schleser, Responsible Person Johannes for Chinese Affairs of International Department of University of Wuppertal, Germany visited our university, and vice president Li Baoming met guests.
Li Baoming introduced our basic school-running conditions, put forward that both parties shall explore cooperation in teachers’ communication, students’ communication, cooperated scientific research in professional areas of talent training, engineering technology, industrial design, and basic subjects. The Germany Party also expressed interests on the cooperation frame put forward by our university, and hopes that the framework MOU between two universities shall be established as soon as possible.
After the meeting, responsible persons of International Affairs Department, School of Economics and Management, School of Management, School of Public Administration, School of Foreign Languages, School of Electromechanical Engineering, School of Science and delegators of University of Wuppertal carried out communication and discussion on students’ exchange, teachers’ study visit, and cooperated scientific research.
University of Wuppertal, Germany is an excellent state-run comprehensive research university, which was founded in 1972 with combination of five universities and research institutes, over 22000 students. Partial majors in science and engineering rank highest in Germany even in the world. This university locates in Wuppertal, Ruhr, Germany, the hometown of Engels, and Ruhr is the largest industrial park and urban agglomeration in Germany and Europe, and also the densest area of higher institutions and scientific research institutions.
