Our university was involved in hosting The Eighth Cross-strait Youth Students Science and Technology Exchange Activity

In the morning of September 12, “The Eighth Cross-strait Youth Students  Science and Technology Exchange Activity (Nanchang University Station)”, sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology and co-organized by Jiangxi Association for Science and Technology and Nanchang University, was held in our university. The 20 persons’ Taiwan postgraduate delegation came to our university to carry out scientific and technological exchanges. The Secretary Party Leadership Group of Jiangxi Association for Science and Technology Luo Ying, planner of Taiwan CTCI Foundation and the Director of Engineering Science and Technology Room Yang Xianzheng, Vice President of Nanchang University Deng Xiaohua and other persons in charge of related units attended the activity, such as China Center for International Science and Technology Exchange and Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangxi Province.

Gong Zhiqiang, the professor of the Tourism School of Nanchang University, made a special report titled with “Gan Po Culture and Green Development”. From the historical point of view, Gong Zhiqiang introduced Jiangxi agriculture and ceramic civilization, landscape humanities, literature education, song and dance drama, etc. in detail.

On the symposium titled with “Green, Low-carbon Economy and Sustainable Development”, the student of National Cheng Kung University Tu Qinglin, the student of National Chung Cheng University Li Yuting and the students of Nanchang University Zhou Jia and Liu Yanhong respectively made paper reports on the sustainable development. Members of the exchange group and more than 30 master degree and doctoral candidates of our university discussed on low-carbon economy, new energy strategy, sustainable development, industrial optimization and upgrading and other issues. Professor Deng Qunzhao of Management School answered present students’ questions, the atmosphere was very warm.

Taiwan Postgraduate Exchange Group visited Nanchang University Ming and Qing Dynasties Export Porcelain Museum and Qianhu Campus.




The activity route of the Taiwan Postgraduate Exchange Group was from  Jiangsu (Nanjing University) to Jiangxi (Nanchang University) and Zhejiang (Zhejiang University). Through this communication, cross-strait students shared new ideas, new initiatives and new resources in research and innovation aspects, promoted relationship, benefited a lot and hoped to have more opportunities to enhance communication and learn from each other.
