Recently, China Collegiate Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creation Contest, also the 8th "Zhuoran Cup" Process Equipment Practice and Innovation Contest, has come to a successful conclusion at East China University of Science and Technology. The three innovative works of NCU Process Equipment Practice and Innovation Base have been awarded with 1 special prize and 2 first prizes respectively. Professor Hu Zhaoji and Professor Zhou Wenguang have won the award of "Excellent Instructor".

The contest has focused on engineering technological hot spots and difficulties of process equipment, received more than 440 works of undergraduate and graduate students from 61 colleges and universities in China and honored 10 special prizes and 25 first prizes. The "Spiral-Driving Adaptive Pipeline Robot based on Cam Variable Diameter” of NCU School of Resources Environment & Chemical Engineering won the special prize, and its "Micro Algae Efficiency Haze Removal, Carbon Sequestration and Oxygen Producing Air Purifier" and "Micro Algae Oxygen Bar --- Vehicle-Mounted Air Purifier" won the first prize.
