The third China “Internet Plus” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Xidian University from September 16 to 18, Vice President Zhu Youlin attended this competition. After the fierce competition, “Prebiotics Have You - Open a New Era of Probiotics Juice” and “IRR Intelligent Rehabilitation Assistant” two projects of Nanchang University won the National Silver Award, “Micro-smart Pocket Laboratory” and “Medical Research - Cancer Research Intelligent Service Assistant” two projects won the National Copper Award.
This competition not only attracted domestic students to register, but also opened the international track. There were 116 college students teams from 25 countries and regions entering for the competition, the number of contestants up to 1.5 million, 2.7 times of the previous competition, the number of projects up to 377,000, 3.2 times of the previous competition. The Competition was highly concerned by various persons, especially general secretary Xi Jinping gave the reply “Youth Red Dream Trip”, which is the greatest inspiration for college students’ innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Nanchang University has always attached great importance to China “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The enthusiasm of our university teams is higher than before. A total of 1332 project teams are enrolled in the competition, the number of participating teams increases by 80%, the number of participants is up to 4027 persons, which creates a new record. Since the preparation of March, our university has opened 11 university students innovation training camps, has carried out 33 special counselings. And in the provincial race, our university obtained the best results in the history with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 7 copper medals, the number of gold medals and medals ranked first, and was reelected “Advanced Collective Award” and “Excellent Organization Award”.
