The 2026 China-Spain Civilization Dialogue opened recently in Nanchang, capital of East China's Jiangxi Province, drawing over 100 experts and scholars from home and abroad.
The event was co-hosted by Nanchang University's Office of Social Sciences, Nanchang University's Center for Spanish Studies, and the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. It focused on three themes: mutual learning among civilizations, educational cooperation and win-win industrial cooperation.
Participants from both sides said China and Spain should consolidate mutual trust through cultural and people-to-people exchanges, cultivate young ambassadors through educational cooperation, and turn industrial integration into momentum for cooperation. They called for institutionalizing the dialogue and making it a regular event.
