Professor Qian Xuhong, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Chemical Letters (the journal of Chinese Chemical Society); Chair of the Expert Committee of the Green Manufacturing Alliance of China; Director of the Shanghai Institute of Chinese Engineering Development Strategies; Principal Investigator and Chief Scientist of the Shanghai Major Science and Technology Special Project “Beyond Limits Manufacturing”; Vice President of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and Deputy Chair of the Board of Supervisors of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, an Honorary Professor at the University of Bath, UK, and holds an honorary doctorate from Queen’s University Belfast, UK. He previously served as President of East China Normal University and President of East China University of Science and Technology; Chief Scientist of the National Basic Research Program of China (“973” Program); Member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Department of Chemical Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; President of the Shanghai Science Writers Association;Vice President of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China; President of the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering; Ambassador Scientist of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in China ; Executive Editor-in-Chief of Engineering and an Advisory Editorial Board Member of international journals including the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
