KANG Le, a distinguished researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is an internationally renowned expert in ecological genomics. As the academician of seven countries and international organizations including the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries and the National Academy of Sciences (USA), he is currently Vice-President of the International Union of Biological Sciences, Chairman of the China Committee, Vice-Chairman of the China Committee of the International Council for Science, and serves as an editor-in-chief and member of the editorial board of important international academic journals.
Academician KANG has been engaged in ecological genomics research for a long time. By integrating genomics with ecological studies, he has successfully developed a research paradigm that bridges the micro and macro perspectives. He has published more than 300 SCI-indexed papers in renowned Journals including Nature, Science, Science Advances, Nature Ecology&Evolution, Nature Communications, PNAS , totaling over 10,000 citations, and was selected by Elsevieri as a highly cited scientist in agriculture and biology (Scopus 2014-2023).
