Profile of Lecturer:

   Qiu Jie, professor and doctoral supervisor of Department of History of Sun Yat-sen University, Vice Chairman of Research Society for the 1911 Revolution History. Once taking the position of deputy head of Sun Yat-sen Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, head of department of history, head of Taiwan Institute. Mainly engaged in the study on modern and contemporary Chinese history, especially obtaining remarkable achievements in the study of Sun Yat-sen and the study of society and economy in Guangdong in modern times. He is the author of Revolutionary Movement Led by Sun Yat-sen and Guangdong in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China, Sun Yat-sen and Modern Warlord in China (coauthor), and etc., and he published over 30 papers in Social Sciences in China, Historical Research, Modern Chinese History Studies, Shixue Yuekan, and other authorative journals. He is the responsible person for state-level excellent course—Modern Chinese History, and he once won the second prize for state-level teaching achievement.
