University Leaders of NCU Attend the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference

Recently, the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference opened in Beijing. Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.

Wang Li, Vice President of NCU, attended the conference on invitation. During the conference, Wang took part in the 2025 Board Meeting of the Confucius Institute at Hasanuddin University and the Tourism Confucius Institute at Udayana University in Indonesia. He had a meeting with Adi Maulana, Vice President of Hasanuddin University and Made Sucipta, Vice President of Udayana University, as well as other representatives from overseas Confucius Institutes and partner universities, to discuss the future development of Confucius Institutes and cooperation with foreign partners in other fields in depth.

Nearly 5,000 people from more than 160 countries and regions attended the conference, including heads of government departments, education authorities, international organizations, universities, and language and culture institutions, renowned experts, sinologists, ambassadors to China, and industry representatives. Under the theme of “Innovation Leads, AI Empowers: Learning Chinese Without Borders”, the conference is designed to accelerate the digital transition of Chinese language education and establish an open, collaborative intelligent-learning ecosystem. Delegates engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge issues such as “AI and the Future of Chinese Language Teaching”, “Digital and Intelligent Applications and Practice”, “Data-Driven Research on Chinese Language Acquisition”, and “Digital Sharing of Chinese Language Teaching Resources”, and jointly explored the development paths and visions for the deep integration and innovation of digital-intelligent technologies and Chinese language education.
